Bass Harbor Light

Bass Harbor Light, located within Acadia National Park on Mt. Desert Island, Maine,
is one of the most photogenic lights on the east coast of the United States.

With its distinctive fourth-order red lens,dating from 1858,
Bass Harbor Head Light guards the entrance to Blue Hill Bay.
It's easily accessible, but you can't get inside the structure, which is operated by the Coast Guard.

This is America's second oldest light station and is located on Nantucket Island.
Brant Point Light's occulting red light is 26 feet above sea level, making it one of the lowest of New England's lights. It is seen by thousands of people each year as they enter and leave Nantucket on ferries from the mainland.
