ARMAND CABRERA JURIED MASTER E-CLASSES
~ The Fundamentals
of Painting ~
Oil,
Acrylic, & Drawing
One Week of Instruction
- Monday - Friday
DON'T
TAKE THIS CLASS...
If you don't have the discipline to focus
and work in your studio alone
Classes
are closed for 2012 due to Armand's extensive painting schedule. Please
check back in 2013.
E-Classes provide an opportunity to learn how to draw
or paint from your
own studio with individual, targeted instruction from Armand Cabrera.
Note:
These classes are private lessons---
just like private piano or singing lessons.
The only one in your class is YOU. No other artist will be in your class.
It is not video learning.
Armand will only accept a limited amount of students.
Lessons are taught through email.
Armand provides the lesson photos----no exceptions.
Students are
taught all aspects of painting and drawing---
perspective, composition, color mixing and theory.
Advanced students are helped with problem solving
and overcoming weaknesses in their painting.
Armand provides instruction for creating medium to large studio works.
Students will paint on sizes 16" x 20" or larger.
Armand's feedback and instruction
includes written descriptions, photos and diagrams.

feedback, click here
Students can learn the general aspects
of painting
or can focus on the following subjects
Landscapes - Scenes from nature. Some images may include
buildings or other manmade structures...and possibly figures or
animals...but only as elements in the landscape.
|
City Scenes - Towns, cities, industrial settings. Scenes
will often contain vehicles and people as a large part of the image.
|
Seascapes - Coastal scenes - beaches, crashing waves, marshland.
|
Still Life - Still life images can be pretty much anything
I find interesting.
|
Animals - Domesticated and wild animals in a natural setting.
Farm people could be included as part of the image.
|
Florals - Composed and natural settings of flowers.
|
Figurative - Portraiture and everyday scenes
with an emphasis on line of action, creating a natural pose and
correct proportion.
|
|
Drawing - Focus on the importance of shape-making
and how to achieve a sense of weight, balance and form with monochromatic
media.
|
| Advanced - Images of complex scenes with challenging light,
composition and elements. The focus will be on translating difficult
ideas into successful paintings using abstraction, simplification
and editing in order to create the illusion of detail. |
